The brief/solution
Microsoft recently introduced a new member to their many successful products, Windows 365 Link. We were tasked to create a design led series of assets to help them launch. The deliverables included a hero product film, photography and social assets.
Our objective was to demonstrate the service’s key features from both a UX and a hardware perspective in a clear and on-brand MSFT emotional and human way. The master concept is a series of unique experiences, told through four vignettes, each highlighting different work environments and user cases. The work environments were minimalist, using natural materials with pops of blue throughout, with the cinematography feeling warm and authentic, avoiding an overly contrived or staged look, creating a relatable brand film that resonates with both commercial and customer audiences.
Each setup showcased different accessories and hardware combinations, portraying relatable scenarios of how the product is used, through emotive close-ups, CG screen visuals, and dynamic typography, all seamlessly integrated through clean and thoughtful art direction. We achieved smooth transitions between set-ups through match-cutting, creating a fluid and dynamic edit from scene to scene. Finally we introduced a series of graphic ethereal gradients, created from the shots themselves to ensure the film felt seamless and helped to ensure functionality and legibility for key messaging.
